IFoR Youth Working Group

FoR, England is part of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFoR), an organisation with about 70 branches, groups and affiliates in over 60 different countries across the world.

As part of our work with IFoR, we are an active member of the Youth Working Group, a committee of representatives from IFoR branches, groups and affiliates who come together with the aim of inspiring and facilitating the empowerment of young people to engage in IFoR.

The working group was established at IFoR council in Japan 2006, and our current members are:

  • Abe Thijs from Kerk en Vrede (FoR, Netherlands)
  • Nina Perowski from IFoR
  • Bertram Flesch from Kerk en Vrede (FoR, Netherlands)
  • Beatrice Amony from JYAK (FoR Uganda)
  • Marc Forget from IFoR, and
  • Orla Oeri-Devereux from Forum fuer Friedenserziehung (FoR, Switzerland [German Speaking])

    We currently meet once a month for online meetings, and aim to meet twice a year for face to face meetings. Our last meething was held in December 2007 in Oxford, UK.
