Act for peace...
...by Campaigning
We aim to be advocates for the vicitims of war and conflict by enabling their voices to be heard. We do this by identifying the causes of violent conflict, and using this information to encourage members, supporters, and the public at large to challenge the structures, policies and attitudes that are at the root of violence. One of the ways we do this is by always having a specific campaign area in which you can participate. Campaign >
...as a young adult or student
- We have a range of events to accompany, assist and encourage students and lecturers in peacemaking education
- We run a peacemaker network for young adults
- We produce papers and research to enable a better understading of nonviolence and reconciliation work
- A greater understading of specific conflicts is available through our tailored information, and we can provide speakers to groups, churches, schools and the public on a variety of issues connected with our work.
We are flexible with the groups we work with; whatever your age, and whatever your knowledge of peace and conflict issues, we can develop something for you.
...through your own learning
...with our financial support for international workers
If you are already engaged with a project in a conflict or post-conflict situation overseas, you may be eligible to apply to our International Peacemakers' Fund >
...if you are a Church
Our charity has Christian roots. As such, one of our priorities is to work within the Churches, denominational Peace Fellowships, and many groups to share a spirituallity of peace and nonviolence through production of worship resources on peace and conflict issues - and other resources.
