Mailing

Three times a year FoR sends out the Younger Peacemakers Network mailing with news of our work, events coming up, and resources which are available. To recieve these mailings by email or post please email us your name, address, email and phone number, or alternatively phone the office on 01865 250 781.

These mailings are avilable for anyone to recieve and are sent out free of charge.

IFoR Youth Working Group

FoR, England is part of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFoR), an organisation with about 70 branches, groups and affiliates in over 60 different countries across the world. As part of our work with IFoR, we are an active member of the Youth Working Group, a committee of representatives from IFoR branches, groups and affiliates who come together with the aim of inspiring and facilitating the empowerment of young people to engage in IFoR.

The working group was established at IFoR council in Japan 2006, and our current members are:

We currently meet once a month for online meetings, and aim to meet twice a year for face to face meetings. Our last meething was held in December 2007 in Oxford, UK. To express interest in this group, please contact us.

Working in Partnership

This Network also works in collaboration with many different organisations, and takes part in many groups such as the Peace Education Network, which brings together peace education practitioners and others committed to promoting education for peace.

Student Christian Movement is a movement seeking to bring together students of all denominations to explore the Christian faith in an open-minded and non-judgemental environment.

SPEAK is a Network connecting the emerging generation to campaign and pray on issues of global justice. Through bringing change to situations of injustice they aim to share their faith in our creator.

Peace SchoolPeace School is a year long programme exploring what it means to be a peacemaker in every area of life; local and global.

Peace Brigades International (PBI) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) which protects human rights and promotes nonviolent transformation of conflicts.

STAR is a unique organisation giving university students and young people the opportunity to: learn about and raise awareness of refugee issues in innovative ways support refugees in a practical way in their local communities through volunteering and campaign with and for the rights of refugees everywhere.

CAAT University Network

Action Reconciliation Service for Peace is a German peace and volunteer service organisation founded in the aftermath of World War II to confront the legacy of the Nazi regime.

Christian Aid is an agency of the churches in the UK and Ireland. They work wherever the need is greatest irrespective of religion or race.
