We enable students and young adults to learn about peacemaking at a
variety of levels, from the introductory to the in-depth. At all levels
we aim to make learning fun, participatory and inclusive.
We regularly travel to universities, local churches or campaign groups to give talks on different peace and conflict issues. Our particular expertise is in nonviolence, Christian pacifism and nonviolent conflict transformation. We also aim to be flexible and are happy to discuss any particular requests you might have within the broad area of peacemaking. Complete this form to book a talk.
Our workshops give you a chance to engage and learn at a more in depth level. We aim to design workshops that meet the needs of participants, in consultation with group coordinators. As a guide, workshops we have facilitated in the past include: Exploring Violence and Nonviolence, Creating Communities of Nonviolence and The Faithful Nonviolence of Jesus. Complete this form to book a workshop.
Our conferences and training events offer experiential learning
about peacemaking in the company of likeminded young people.
Every year, we run the Called to Be Peacemakers conference, a
residential weekend conference which is the annual gathering of the
Young Peacemaker's Network. The conference explores a particular peace
or conflict topic in depth with a variety of expert speakers and
facilitators. We have also previously run residential skills
trainings in Nonviolence - A (Practical) Tool for Change and hope to
offer more skills based training in the future.
Each year, we play an active role at Greenbelt festival. In partnership with the Network of Christian Peace Organisations, we coordinate the Peace Zone and bring speakers on different aspects of nonviolence to the festival programme. Find out more about our work at Greenbelt.
We produce resources for use by students and young adults in
churches, university and local campaign groups. See what’s available.
