Working in Partnership

We believe that working in partnership with other peace and justice focused organisations is an important way of strengthening a culture of peace in society, sharing our expertise with other organisations and learning from them.

We enjoy working in partnership with a range of organisations spanning the fields of youth work, faith, peace and conflict transformation. We also take an active part in networks such as the Peace Education Network which brings together peace education practitioners and InterAction, a network of student campaigning organisations.  We are always keen to hear from organisations interested in partnering with us – if that is you, please get in touch.

Recent partnership work:

The Peace Zone at Greenbelt festival - Greenbelt is a Christian Arts festival that takes place on Cheltenham racecourse during the Bank Holiday weekend at the end of August.  For over 10 years we have been an active partner in the Network of Christian Peace Organisations (NCPO) to coordinate the Peace Zone. The Peace Zone is an interactive arts-based installation that engages young festival goers with issues of peace and conflict in a dynamic and fun way.  It is also a great opportunity for young people to get involved with our work as every year we train a team of 12 volunteers to run the Peace Zone and build their own peacemaking skills in the process. If you would like to find out more about volunteering for us at Greenbelt, please get in touch.

Women Peacemakers Celebration - Leeds

Women Peacemakers Celebration - Leeds, Dec 2010

Women Peacemakers – in December 2010 we partnered with Catholic peacemaking organisation Pax Christi to host Women Peacemakers: A celebration of ordinary women’s extraordinary lives. This day conference in Leeds drew together women and men peace activists to use creative and arts based learning to engage with the theme of women as peacemakers – internationally, locally, historically and across generational boundaries.  A specially commissioned play, Stone Tales was launched, to tell the stories of four very different women peacemakers.
