Best route on foot
We are behind the Westgate Shopping Centre. To walk there from Carfax, go down Queen Street, turn left into Castle Street (County Hall on your right), then first right into Paradise Street. Peace House is a handsome building facing you, on your left as you come down the street.
Best route by car (trades, staff, loading, unloading, by arrangement):
The best route to access the building is as follows:
- Hollybush Row/ Oxpens Road (A4144) >
- St Thomas' Street >
- Paradise Street
Best route by car (all other users):
- Access Westgate Parking from A4144 and park
- Walk up Castle Street
- Turn left into Paradise Street
Best route by train:
Exit the station from Platform 1. Once outside, walk to main road. Turn left. At crossing, cross over the Botley Road (two stage crossing). Turn right off the Botley Road down Hollybush Row A4144. You will pass the Jam Factory cafe on your right. Take the 2nd left into St Thomas' Street. Turn right at the Brewery Gate pub (onto Paradise Street). Peace House is on your right after you have crossed the bridge. (Google Maps suggests this walk takes 9 minutes).
Parking:
There are some parking bays at the back of the building. During office hours these are reserved for staff, or trades vehicles. Outside of office hours they are reserved for the Centre Administrator and/or trades or other vehicles. By arrangement only they can be used by hirers as loading bays or parking for the duration of the hire. All other users and visitors should use the parking at the nearby Westgate car park (see map below).
