Young peacemakers in action

Peacemaking is challenging work and we want to equip the next generation of young peacemakers with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and friendships needed to be a vital force for peace in the world.

Our Young Peacemakers’ Netowork (YPN) is for people aged 18-30ish.

We offer educational opportunities on diverse peace and conflict issues via talks, workshops, training and our residential conference, Called to be Peacemakers.

Young adults take action for peace & justice through campaigns on specific issues. See our campaigns page for what we’re currently focused on, or specifically our campaigning around the use of armed drones.

Connect with other young peacemakers on the YPN facebook page.

Our centenary Called to be Peacemakers was run jointly with the Student Christian Movement. The theme was “Peace, Power and Protest: Prophets for a new world”, designed for people exploring a vocation to peacemaking or those already heavily involved. Sessions included Inderjit Bhogal of the Corrymeela community and a panel responding to the question, “How can faith speak truth to power?”. Twitter: #PeaceProphets14
